Dunk-A-Doc: 40th Anniversary Celebration & FOCCSO Fundraiser
at Animal Care Center Veterinary Hospital
Saturday, August 22nd from 1-3pm
Join us for a special community celebration as Animal Care Center marks 40 years of caring for pets and the people who love them!
To celebrate this milestone, we’re hosting a fun-filled event that’s also a fundraiser for Friends of the Craven County Sheriff’s Office, supporting the incredible work of the Craven County Sheriff’s K9 Unit.
This event is open to clients, families, and the entire community. Let’s celebrate 40 amazing years of Animal Care Center, support our local law enforcement K9 heros, and enjoy a great day together.
SPECIAL NOTE: Attendees will be the first to get a look at the plans for our expansion and renovation of the hospital!!!

FAQs
What is FOCCSO
The specific purpose of Friends of Craven County Sheriff's Office is to support the Craven County Sheriff's Office by providing funding to purchase necessities, and assist with community education. This includes both Animal Protective Services and the K9 Unit. FOCCSO is a 509C non-profit organization.
Can I bring my pet to Dunk-A-Doc?
Yes, it's actually encouraged! All dogs must be on a leash and cats must be in a carrier OR leash trained. Please note if your animal is not leashed, one will be provided for you.
What will there be for kids to do?
We are planning on having a bounce house, obstacle course, K9 Unit demonstrations, and a Junior Veterinary event, all geared towards kids ages 2-13!
What is the Junior Veterinary portion of the event?
Kids will be able to view x-rays, perform surgery (on stuffies, of course), bandage "wounds", and perform physical exams! All with the support of our team and FFA members from New Bern High School.
